Writing.
Two books. One I had to write, and one that happened because of it.
I wrote both of these myself. No AI, no pipeline, nothing generated. Given what else is on this site, that is worth saying plainly.

the long goodbye
It is about the particular grief of losing someone who is still in the room.
My dad had Alzheimer’s. My therapist told me to write. That was not a figure of speech, it was the actual assignment. I was driving over to the house to help my mom look after him, and I was told to put it somewhere.
It follows Jo Anne, who keeps her routines going while her husband Joe slips away from her.
People who have been through it tell me it got the thing right. That is the only review that has ever mattered to me.

I have always written. I wanted to be an author long before I was anything else. After the first book did better than I expected, I finally put together the stories I have written over the years and collected them here.
Seven stories about love, loss, humour and the moments that stay with people long after they have passed.
People have said the work reads like Hitchcock, The Twilight Zone, or Bret Easton Ellis. In fairness, I am usually the person saying it. I stand by it anyway.
