The leads you are already getting and losing
Before you spend anything on more traffic, it is worth knowing how many people already tried to reach you and gave up. A form that silently fails, a call that rings out at lunchtime, an inquiry sitting unread since Saturday. All of it is paid for already. Once that is airtight, and only then, we turn on paid traffic and send it somewhere that actually converts.
Proof
“Set me up a site so I can add my new listings. Been a game changer.”
The Work
- Call tracking. Which pages and campaigns actually make the phone ring.
- Forms that work. Tested on a real phone, with the confirmation email that proves it sent.
- Automatic follow-up. An inquiry at nine on a Sunday gets acknowledged before Monday.
- Routing. Leads land where somebody will actually see them.
- A number you can trust. One place showing what came in and where from.
Paid, Too
- Google Ads. Search and Local Services, built around terms that lead to jobs rather than the ones with the biggest volume.
- Paid social. Where it makes sense for your business, and I will tell you plainly when it does not.
- Landing pages that match. The page has to say what the ad said, or you are paying for the click twice.
- Conversion tracking that is correct. Most accounts I inherit are counting the wrong thing, which means every decision made from that data was wrong too.
- No percentage of spend. A cut of your budget rewards me for talking you into spending more. I quote the work instead.
Asked Often
Why am I getting website traffic but no leads?
Usually one of three things: the form is broken or too long, the phone number is hard to find on a phone, or the enquiries are arriving somewhere nobody checks. All three are cheap to fix and none of them need more traffic.
Why are my ads getting clicks but no calls?
Most often the landing page does not say what the ad promised, or conversion tracking is counting the wrong thing, so the campaign has been optimising toward the wrong outcome for months.
What is the minimum budget for Google Ads?
Below roughly a thousand a month in a competitive local market you will struggle to gather enough data to optimise, and the money usually does more in SEO first. I will tell you honestly which side of that line you are on.
Do you charge a percentage of ad spend?
No. A percentage of spend rewards me for talking you into spending more, which is the opposite of what you are hiring me for. I quote the work instead.
Should I run Google Ads or Facebook ads?
Google catches people already looking for what you sell, which suits home services. Paid social creates demand that was not there, which suits some businesses and wastes money for others.
What is call tracking and do I need it?
Call tracking assigns phone numbers to pages or campaigns so you can see which ones make the phone ring. If most of your business arrives by phone rather than by form, it is the only way to know what your marketing is doing.
Is lead tracking worth it for a small business?
More so, not less. When you get twenty enquiries a month, losing four of them is twenty percent of your pipeline. At two hundred a month you would never notice the same leak.
How quickly should I follow up on a new lead?
Faster than feels necessary. Most small businesses lose work to whoever replied first, not to whoever was best. An automatic acknowledgement within minutes buys you the time to reply properly.
